How to Cook Long Grain Rice
Combine 1 cup of Aksoy Long Grain Rice with approximately 1½ cups water and ½ teaspoon salt in a saucepan with a tight-fitting lid.
- Bring to the boil and stir once.
- Cover and reduce the heat to low.
- Simmer for around 18 minutes without lifting the lid.
- Remove from the heat and leave covered for 5 minutes.
- Fluff gently with a fork before serving.
Firm Texture & Separate Grains
Long grain rice has long, slim grains that tend to remain separate after cooking.
The finished rice has a relatively dry, firm texture, making it suitable for serving alongside sauces, curries, grilled dishes and other everyday meals.
